Task: Students will need to gain an understanding of the interrelationships that exist between the different components of the sports industry.

Your task is to explain any THREE interrelationships in the form of a 7 minute spoken word presentation

Explain three interrelationships between different components of the sports industry

Examples of inter-relationships:

• Sport spectating and sport retail

• Sport medicine and professional sport

• Sports coaching and sport development

• Sport spectating and sport-related gambling

In your presentation you should focus on the following areas

Explanation:

·         The nature of inter-relationship – How do the two components affect each other?

·         Is the relationship beneficial – In what ways do these components benefit from each other?

·         Can you provide statistical evidence of these benefits?

·         Do areas actually work together to encourage joint use?

·         What has been the impact of the two components working together?

·         When did this relationship first become common place – How has this changed this area of sport?

·         Conclusion – A summery of the 3 relationships and which you think has the most value for sport within the United Kingdom.

Use lots of examples to illustrate your points and back up your arguments with facts!
